Where do you live? Mount Pleasant
Are you a runner/ walker/ biker? I’m a runner
What do you do for a living? I teach middle school special education.
What inspires you? My brother, PJ inspires me in every aspect of my life. We were raised with the belief that we can do anything if we set our minds to it. PJ has muscular dystrophy but doesn’t let that stop him from doing anything that he wants to do. He is beautiful and full of love for every single person he meets. I run because he can’t. Every time I tie my shoes, PJ’s amazing will is my fuel to finish happy.
Why do you want to represent the Charleston James Island Connector Run? I had a blast running the Connector last year and wanted to be a part of it again! It’s a beautiful race benefitting a wonderful cause. I’m honored to be an ambassador again.
Why should you run/walk/bike the Connector? Why shouldn’t you?! We live in one of the most amazingly beautiful places on Earth. As locals we should take every opportunity to appreciate and enjoy our surroundings. Physical activity is good for the soul; give it a shot, what do you have to lose? Events like this are a great way to meet new people, experience new things, and check something off the bucket list.
What’s your favorite thing about living in the Lowcountry? Pluff mud. One whiff and I know I’m home.
How can people connect with you?

Be sure to say hi if you see me on the connector!
