WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?
The James Island Connector Run adheres to standard running industry policy, which dictates that registration fees are non-refundable. However, you may transfer your registration to another runner in the same or shorter distance for a $10.00 fee. Click here and on the James Island Connector Run, click "Manage Registration" to transfer your registration. All transfers must be done before October 14, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. You may not transfer your number to another runner for any reason without notifying the James Island Connector Run on the link provided. IS THERE A TIME LIMIT FOR THE 10K?
Yes, all runners must be cleared from the James Island Connector within 2.0 hours of the start. Runners finishing after 2.0 hours may not receive an official time.
HOW MANY RUNNERS ARE EXPECTED?
We expect approximately 300 runners in the 10k and 200 runners in the 5k for 2022.
ARE T-SHIRTS INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION FEE?
Yes, a gender-specific shirt will be available for runners who register before October 1, 2022. We cannot guarantee shirts for runners who register after that date.
ARE AWARDS BASED ON GUN TIME OR CHIP TIME?
Overall awards are based on gun time, age group awards are based on chip time.
WHAT IF IT RAINS OR THERE IS A BAD WEATHER EVENT?
Both runs will take place rain or shine. There will be no weather-related refunds. The event can be cancelled if the Race Committee determines the course is unsafe due to poor weather conditions.
ARE WALKERS, STROLLERS OR DOGS ALLOWED?
Walkers and strollers are allowed in the 5k and 10k with a 2 hour time limit. Dogs are not allowed in either run. Walker and strollers must start at the back and must be off the course in 2.0 hours.
ARE THE COURSES CERTIFIED?
Yes, both the 5K and the 10K course are USATF certified.
WILL RACE PACKETS BE MAILED?
Race packets will not be mailed but can be picked up at packet pick-up.
WHERE DO I PARK FOR THE RACES?
Free parking is available in two nearby parking garages: the Rutledge Tower Employee Garage at 79 Vanderhorst Street, and the McClellan Banks Parking Garage at 71 McClellan Banks Drive. The area immediately around Cannon Park will not be available for parking. Attendees are reminded that all parking meters are active during the event.
WHAT IS THE COURSE ELEVATION?
The highest course elevation is no more that 40 feet. The course is across several bodies of water so expect a hill-style event.

Awards for first male and female overall top finisher, first male and female masters, first male and female grandmasters, first male and female great grandmasters, and male and female top 3 age group awards from 14 and under to 80 and above in 5-year age groups.
CAN I PICK UP ANOTHER RUNNER'S PACKET?
Yes, you may pick up another runner’s packet.
CAN I DROP MY BAG OFF AT THE START AND PICK IT UP AFTER THE RACE?
Items may not be left unattended during the event.
